Join us for the 20th Annual Mickler Mile

The 1-mile race will take place on Monday, May 25th, 2026 at 7am at the corner of Pope Road and Mickler Road. 

The donation includes a bib and the famous Mickler Mile T-shirt.  After that date, we cannot guarantee shirt size.  The race will be limited to 150 participants. Bib and shirt pickup will be available prior to the race beginning at 6:30am at the starting line.

Please be good neighbors and refrain from parking in residents' yard. Please Park at Ron Parker Park or the STA Beach Pier and walk to the corner of Pope Road and Mickler Road - in front of the YMCA entrance. Do not park on Pope Rd, Mickler Rd, or YMCA parking lot.

This year we are featuring Cooper Lutkenhaus.

American middle-distance runner Cooper Lutkenhaus holds an official personal best mile time of 4:06.33. While primarily an 800-meter specialist, Lutkenhaus set this mile mark at a meet in Southlake, Texas Cooper Lutkenhaus - Wikipedia. He is much more well-known for his historic 800-meter prowess, where he famously set the U18 World Record with a time of 1:42.27.

Our local, St. Augustine, FL Olympian - Above shows Keith Brantly who was featured on our 2023 Mickler Mile shirt (above).

Keith was a 1996 USA Olympic Team Member for the Marathon.

Here’s just a short list of Keith Brantly’s accomplishments:

  • 1996 United States Olympic Team Member, Marathon.

  • 1984, ’88, ’92, ’96 and 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials participant for 5K, 10K and marathon, competing in a total of seven final trials events.

  • 12-time member of United States National track, road racing and cross country teams.

  • 8-time United States National Roadracing Champion in the 10K, 20K, 25K and marathon.

  • Lifetime personal bests include Marathon 2:12:31, Fifteen kilometers 42:50, Ten kilometers 28:02, Five kilometers 13:36, 1500 meters 3:40.7 (3:58 mile)

  • Career official prize money more than $400,000.
